As is customary for the 1st Sunday of Advent, Bishop Charles Caruana has requested all the faithful to read and meditate the contents of his Pastoral Letter.  He reminds everyone that Our Lady of Europe, Gibraltar's Patroness, continues to intercede and protect this community.  He wishes this Advent to be a form of preparation for Our Lady's Jubilee.  The diocese is celebrating 700 years of devotion to Our lady of Europe. Other events are being organized to mark this special occasion.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Europe has launched its official website at www.ourladyofeurope.net.  It offers information about Our Lady of Europe and the Shrine, including spirituality and historical articles.  This is not the complete finished product as so much more is planned to be included within the next few weeks.  Everyone is urged to visit.

Preparations for the Jubilee are already in process.  Many events will be organized so as to mark the occasion.  To start of, the statue will be held at each Parish for a month each.  Each corresponding Parish will organize its own programme.
